STEP 1: FREE CONSULTATION & SOFT QUOTE

Your process begins with a free phone consultation with Attorney Springer.
During this call, we will:
  • Review your income, debts, and goals
  • Confirm if Chapter 7 is the right fit
  • Explain protections for wages, vehicles, and your home
  • Provide a soft quote and your 60-day quote window
After your consult, you’ll receive:
  • Soft Quote & Payment Overview
  • Start-Up Steps
  • Client Questionnaire + Guide
Your next step: Complete your questionnaire and open your case within your 60-day window.

STEP 2: COMPLETE YOUR QUESTIONNAIRE & Open YOUR CASE

Your first official task is completing the Client Questionnaire, which gives us the details the court requires.
After you submit it, our office will:
  • Review for accuracy
  • Clarify missing information
  • Help you gather paystubs, bank statements, and tax returns
To retain our firm, you will:
  • Sign your Pre-Review Retainer
  • Pay Retainer ($50 individual/ $100 joint)
Retaining our firm allows us to open a case and begin preparing your review.

STEP 3: ATTORNEY REVIEW, FINAL PREPARATION & FILING

Once your case is opened and you have retained our firm, your first task is completing all requirements before your attorney review.
Before your attorney review, you must:
  • Submit all required documents
  • Pay all attorney fees due before review
  • Complete your credit counseling course
After these items are completed, our office will begin preparing your filing. We will:
  • Schedule your phone review with Attorney Springer
  • Verify your ID through Zoom as a practice run for your court appearance
  • Pull your credit report on the day of your review
  • Draft your full bankruptcy petition and schedules
  • Make any final corrections before filing
After your case is filed:
  • You’ll attend a short Zoom/phone 341 trustee meeting
  • Most Chapter 7 cases receive a discharge in about 90 days
